FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif. and SAN FRANCISCO (Jan 31, 2012) – Paciolan, a leading provider of ticketing, marketing and fundraising solutions in live entertainment, today announced an exclusive partnership with its secondary ticketing partner, StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace. With the partnership, StubHub will be the exclusive, integrated, secondary ticketing partner for Paciolan teams and venues who decide to offer an open market model. The product integration enables tickets to be resold electronically in a safe environment and then emailed instantly for print-at-home delivery. The integrated StubHub model enables Paciolan-powered college athletics, professional sports, arenas and performing arts venues and their customers an easy and secure way to buy and sell tickets.

“StubHub is the clear leader in the live entertainment, ticket resale market,” said Dave Butler, CEO of Paciolan. “Paciolan and StubHub have entered into an exclusive, integrated, ticket resale partnership to provide our teams and venues and their customers the best-of-breed option to easily buy and sell tickets on the open market. StubHub has been an amazing partner and we are thrilled to expand our relationship with them.”

The Paciolan/StubHub integration enables ticket holders to resell their tickets by logging into StubHub’s online site and entering a barcode number, which StubHub verifies as a legitimate ticket. When the ticket is resold, a new barcode is issued for the ticket, and it’s digitally delivered to the buyer. StubHub’s automated fulfillment technology allows for a streamlined listing and purchase process that saves buyers and sellers time. StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee presents fans with complete protection from fraud and a stress-free purchasing process when buying tickets online.

Paciolan clients have two options to manage their ticket resale strategy. The first is the integrated solution with the industry-leading open market resale partner, StubHub. The second is managing a private label, fully controlled resale market through Paciolan’s Ticket Marketplace. “Our clients have choices and can decide what is best for their organization. We are seeing a strong trend with more leading organizations wanting to integrate with the StubHub open market model, and think that is the wave of the future,” added Butler.

The integration creates a complementary relationship for venues and fans alike. Venues are able to increase the number of tickets sold on the resale market, often times more than doubling the number of tickets sold after the integration. Florida State University, for example, increased the number of tickets sold on StubHub by over 250% after the first year of integration for football. The integration also offers fans enhanced customer services, including guaranteed, valid tickets to popular events with the best possible seating. Season ticket holders and subscribers can also quickly and easily resell unused tickets and be paid in a secure environment.

“Our exclusive partnership with Paciolan will allow us to further extend our partnerships with Paciolan- powered venues, and we look forward to sharing the many resulting benefits,” said Danielle Maged, head of partnerships and business development, StubHub. “We highly value the tremendous progress we have made with Paciolan over the last year and half, as well as our relationships with these live entertainment institutions.”

###

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif. and NORMAN, Okla. (Jan. 18, 2012) – Paciolan, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions in college athletics, announced today that The University of Oklahoma (“Oklahoma”) has renewed its partnership with the company. Working with Paciolan since 1983, Oklahoma will continue leveraging all of Paciolan’s industry-leading solutions, which have helped Oklahoma achieve exceptional success. Oklahoma’s online season ticket renewal rates, for example, have consistently increased over the past four years to a current rate of 50 percent.

“We have been with Paciolan for 28 years and achieved many of our goals during that time by using its software to help us develop new solutions and respond to changing needs,” said Joe Castiglione, director of athletics, for The University of Oklahoma.

Working in conjunction with Paciolan, Oklahoma created its innovative “Sooner Club Loyalty Program,” which rewards loyalty points to students, donors and season ticket holders who attend events. Paciolan integrated points for attendance, ticket sales and donations into a single system that allows Sooner fans and students to earn priority points for attending events, locking in their loyalty.

“We use Paciolan to help us integrate all the Sooner Loyalty Program data so that we can accurately calculate and distribute loyalty points to everyone,” said McK Williams, assistant athletics director of ticket operations for The University of Oklahoma. “In addition, we employ the program to help us fill seats at games, create a complementary ‘win-win’ relationship between us and our fans, donors and students, and give us an active home field advantage for our games. We also use it to help seed future donor support from students who accumulate points and become new donors into their alumni years.”

With Paciolan’s fundraising solution, Oklahoma has also been able to drive revenues, while serving season ticket holders and donors. It recently streamlined the online donation process to make it easier for donors to make their gifts through its website. A new feature includes an online priority point calculator that encourages increased donations and provides the ability to elevate to the next level of corresponding donor benefits.

Over the past year, Oklahoma has also leveraged the Paciolan ticketing system to step up its concert business and serve new fans. This has resulted in increased incremental revenues and grown the number of tickets sold through their Paciolan system. Headlining acts include: Guns N’ Roses, Lady Antebellum, and Miranda Lambert.

Oklahoma also uses Paciolan’s PACMail e-mail marketing system, which provides instant communication with fans, ticket holders and donors, for time-sensitive news, such as priority seating and ticket pre-sales, as well as upcoming games and events. The system is fast, effective and easily links to accounts, while supporting renewals.

“From exciting athletics initiatives and conference championships, to headlining concert events, Oklahoma sets the stage for excellence and we’re thrilled to be a part of it all,” said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. “We’re happy to be continuing our partnership and to be supporting their efforts with our industry-leading ticketing, fundraising and marketing solutions.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif. and CLEVELAND (Jan 16, 2012) – Paciolan, a leading provider of ticketing, marketing and fundraising solutions in performing arts, today announced that PlayhouseSquare, a not-for-profit organization and the country’s largest performing arts center outside of New York, has renewed its partnership with the company. With the renewal, PlayhouseSquare will continue leveraging all of Paciolan’s industry-leading solutions, as well as adding its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to its product portfolio. PlayhouseSquare, which has been working with Paciolan since 2007, presents a diverse performance schedule consisting of Broadway, concerts, dance, plays, comedy, speakers, and family shows, and draws more than one-million people annually to its more than 1,000 events.

“Paciolan is a true partner that provides the ultimate in flexibility, products and services that allow us to provide our guests a world-class experience and drive bottom line results,” said Art Falco, president and CEO of PlayhouseSquare.

With the partnership renewal, PlayhouseSquare will be adding and integrating Paciolan’s CRM system to its already progressive customer relationship management efforts. With Paciolan CRM, PlayhouseSquare will be able to manage every point of contact with each guest, including ticketing, donations and purchase history, to enhance customer services, grow lifetime relationships and maximize revenue potential.

“Our goal with CRM is to have a comprehensive view and understanding of our guests to provide enhanced customer services. Knowing who they are, what they are buying or donating, and when they are engaged with us is extremely valuable. We’re transitioning to Paciolan’s CRM system since it is fully integrated into our ticketing, fundraising and marketing platform, which enables our entire organization to personalize each interaction with our guests,” said Brian P. Sayre, director of ticket services at PlayhouseSquare.

Leveraging Paciolan’s ticketing system, PlayhouseSquare streamlined and improved the online purchase process resulting in increased online ticket sales each year. For example, PlayhouseSquare was able to create a Cyber Monday promotion this year, which yielded 2,500 in additional ticket sales and more than $91,000 in incremental revenue in a single day. Additionally, leveraging Paciolan’s eVenue online ticketing solution, PlayhouseSquare was able to significantly grow its CEO Program to more than 500 Cleveland-area corporations, resulting in more than $1.8 million in corporate ticket sales.

“With Paciolan, we’re able to offer our guests a more efficient online ticketing process with everything they need. This includes special VIP packaging, subscriptions, renewals, single ticket sales and designer series offers that have led to increased ticket sales,” added Sayre.

Additionally, PlayhouseSquare achieved success with Paciolan’s fundraising system, which enables guests to support the organization through several convenient online donation programs. Recently it implemented a unique “round up” program that enables guests to round up the cost of their ticket purchase and donate these funds to the Education Fund, creating incremental revenue.

PlayhouseSquare was also an early adopter of Paciolan’s mobile ticketing platform, which makes it easy for patrons to buy tickets to PlayhouseSquare events on their smart phone devices. In just three months of rolling out the platform, PlayhouseSquare sold more than $60,000 of tickets through this channel.

“It’s an honor to be working with such an acclaimed performing arts center as PlayhouseSquare, which continues to push the boundaries of innovation and promotes quality performing arts,” said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. “We look forward to continuing our partnership and to taking their success to new levels with the addition of our CRM system.”

Billboard Magazine – January 13, 2012
By Ray Waddell

In a move with national touring industry implications, Brock Jones, formerly VP of Bookings at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, has joined Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor in the newly-created role of VP of Bookings. Jones, a 23-year veteran booker of concerts and events, will handle bookings for both Global Spectrum, the company’s facility management firm, and Paciolan, the company’s ticketing software company.

In his new position, Jones will work closely with Global Spectrum COO John Page and the company’s regional vice presidents to bring a variety of performers to Global Spectrum-managed venues. In addition, Jones will also assist Paciolan and their clients in seeking booking opportunities, according to Page.

Jones joins Global Spectrum after spending the past six years at the Bridgestone Arena, where he was responsible for acquiring, scheduling and overseeing all events at Bridgestone Arena. Under Jones’ watch, the arena has significantly increased the number of major concert bookings at the 15-year-old, 20,000-capacity arena, and improved Nashville’s reputation as a market that can sell concert and event tickets to a wide range of attractions.

Calling his time in Nashville “the most rewarding experience of my career,” Jones cites relationships built across the national touring business in general, and specifically within the Nashville-based music community. “The daily interaction with industry professionals such as Rob Beckham (WME), Brian O’Connell (Live Nation), John Huie (CAA) and Clarence Spalding (Spalding Entertainment) is immeasurable,” Jones tells Billboard.biz. “I cannot thank my clients and peers enough for the growth I’ve achieved. Nashville is truly family, one day we scream at each other and the next we’re having dinner together. It is the best of our industry and I’ll miss it immensely. Only an opportunity as dynamic and progressive as that presented by Global Spectrum and Paciolan could ever make me leave this environment. I had to take advantage of working with one of the most respected people our industry has produced in [Comcast-Spectacor President] Peter Luukko.

Jones’ addition to the Global Comcast team reflects a growing trend for arenas and other venues to be more proactive in procuring content. “As our company continues its rapid growth, we felt it was important to create a new position and hire someone of Brock’s caliber to focus on increasing bookings and enhancing event schedules at the more than 110 venues our company manages around the world,” says Page. “Brock has the experience, knowledge, and resources to help us achieve new successes for our diverse roster of worldwide clients. We’re very excited to have him join Global Spectrum.”

The fact that Jones’ duties will also include Paciolan reflects the growing role that ticketing companies are playing in the modern concert industry dynamic. “Many of our Paciolan clients also want assistance in finding opportunities to bring concert acts to their venues, so we too will rely on Brock’s ability to further assist our clients in bringing incremental content to their facilities,” says Paciolan CEO David Butler.

Jones began his career booking acts throughout the Western United States as an independent promoter (Cutthroat Productions in Salt Lake City) before becoming involved in venue management. His extensive career in facility management also includes Director of Events, Department of Cultural Facilities, Arts and Entertainment in Norfolk, Va. (2001-2005); Director of the Colonial Theatre for the Performing Arts in Idaho Falls, Idaho, (1998-2000); and Director of the ASISU Presents at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID, (1988-89).

In addition, he serves on the Nashville Music Business Council, the Advisory Board for the Nashville Chapter of Musician’s On Call, the Board of Director’s for the T.J. Martell Foundation and is an active Alumni of Leadership Music. Jones earned a BA degree from Idaho State University and attended Law School at The University of The Pacific.

Global Spectrum manages more than 100 other public assembly facilities around the world. Comcast-Spectacor also owns the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, Ovations Food Services, New Era Tickets, Paciolan, Front Row Marketing Services, and Flyers Skate Zone, a series of community ice skating rinks

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif. and MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Dec. 9, 2011) – Paciolan, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions in college athletics, announced today that the University of Memphis (“Memphis”) will be continuing its 28-year partnership with the company. A perennial powerhouse in college basketball, which they play at FedExForum, and one of the top programs for annual attendance, Memphis has been working with Paciolan since 1983.

“The Paciolan system gives us the freedom to create events and build innovative programs our way,” said Bill Lofton, associate athletic director of finance for the University of Memphis. “We also love the customer service we’ve been provided these past 28 years. Paciolan has always been very responsive and helps us achieve our goals.”

Leveraging the Paciolan system, Memphis has been consistently increasing its online ticket sales over the past several years. Contributing to this success is Memphis’ online payment plans program, which allows season ticket holders to space out payments for season tickets.

The Paciolan system integrates ticketing with donor data to allow Memphis to maintain priority seating at its athletics venues. It also provides Memphis with the flexibility it needs to facilitate donor-level pre-sales and post-season ticket sales, which save the university time and resources.

“Paciolan allows us to expedite post-season ticket sales by quickly identifying and communicating availability to season ticket holder donors,” added Lofton.

“It’s been wonderful working with the University of Memphis for almost three decades,” said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. “We look forward to helping them achieve their future goals by leveraging our proven ticketing, marketing and fundraising solutions.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 6, 2011 – SAN FRANCISCO – University of Kansas Athletics has paired with StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, and Paciolan, a leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions to live entertainment organizations, to create a safe, guaranteed secondary marketplace for fans to buy and sell tickets to Jayhawks events. Backed by StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee, each ticket transaction will be between fans and managed by StubHub.

The new online ticket marketplace partnership was negotiated by IMG College, the multimedia rights partner for Kansas Athletics, along with StubHub and Paciolan. This new process replaces the Kansas Athletics Ticket Marketplace, which had been in place for the past few years. StubHub and Paciolan collaborate on many collegiate partnerships; since the two companies began working together in August 2010, the number of its college partners instituting barcode cancel and reissue integration has tripled.

“Working alongside the University of Kansas is an exciting milestone in StubHub’s continued growth in college athletics, which now includes 26 premier college properties,” said Danielle Maged, head of partnerships and business development, StubHub. “As we’ve proven via existing agreements with many colleges, this technology integration adds another layer of protection to ensure all Jayhawk fans can purchase tickets on the secondary market with assurance.”

Paciolan’s leading software integration with the university enhances the overall fan experience. Whenever a fan purchases tickets online, they re-issue a completely new barcode, cancelling the old barcode and marking a seamless exchange of tickets. Combined with StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee, this new product integration presents Jayhawks fans with complete protection from fraud and a stress-free purchasing process when buying tickets online.

“We think all Jayhawks fans will appreciate the added protection of a guaranteed valid ticket that will come with this integrated solution,” said Dave Butler, CEO of Paciolan. “This process provides season ticket holders with the ability to quickly and easily resell unused tickets, and allows fans to purchase great seats to Kansas basketball games. It is a tremendous customer service to Jayhawks fans.”

“This integrated solution will provide our fans with a safe, guaranteed, and transparent ticketing platform,” said Terry Mohajir, senior associate athletics director, Kansas. “We are confident this will provide fans with an improved secondary ticketing experience for Kansas Athletics events.”

###

About StubHub

StubHub is the world’s largest ticket marketplace, enabling fans to buy and sell tickets to tens of thousands of sports, concert, theater and other live entertainment events. The company’s unique online marketplace, dedicated solely to tickets, provides all fans the choice to buy or sell their tickets in a safe, convenient and highly reliable environment. All transactions are processed and delivered by StubHub and backed by the company’s FanProtect Guarantee™. Company partners include the New York Yankees, University of Texas, and FedEx Field, along with over 60 teams in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NCAA, complemented with companies such as ESPN, Tickets.com, and Paciolan.

IRVINE, Calif. and PITTSBURGH (Nov. 28, 2011) – Paciolan, a leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions for museums and arts organizations, today announced that the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium (“Pittsburgh Zoo”) has renewed its partnership with the company and will be implementing the company’s Membership Access Scanning system. Leveraging Paciolan’s eVenue software, Pittsburgh Zoo has increased online sales approximately 600 percent. The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium strives to foster positive, lifelong connections between animals and people. Whether through its exhibitry, educational programs, or many conservation projects, its goal is to make certain the earth remains a suitable home for all life by its discovery of the interconnectedness of the natural world.

“The Paciolan system is very unique and offers the only seamlessly integrated ticketing, marketing, and fund development solution that is PCI compliant, a big selling point for us,” said Doug Jones, manager of information systems for the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. “The company’s customer support staff is by far some of the best people I’ve worked with. With a very small IT staff, I’m able to rely on them 24/7 and keep costs down.”

Paciolan’s Membership Access Scanning system will enable Pittsburgh Zoo members to have their membership cards scanned for easy and fast access, an important time-saving benefit. It also accurately tracks attendance by date and time.

“We’ll now know how many people are in the park so we can control our staffing levels, while providing our members and visitors with better service at the gate,” added Jones.

Leveraging Paciolan’s eVenue online ticketing solution, which powers its ecommerce site, the Pittsburgh Zoo has already achieved significant success with its online ticket sales, which have increased 600 percent over the last three years. The site allows them to efficiently sell tickets in real-time, while managing their brand and enhancing the customer experience.

“Working closely with our Paciolan client partner to manage our eVenue enabled site we’ve been able to increase our online sales and generate additional revenue,” added Jones. “Our Paciolan client partner also regularly introduces us to new ideas and industry best practices, which have helped us, surpass our goals.”

The Pittsburgh Zoo also offers online membership entitlements to its 25,000 member households. These entitlements provide members with special offers and discounted pricing on events.

“It’s wonderful to be continuing our partnership with the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium,” said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. “Leveraging our industry-leading general admission solutions, they’ve achieved tremendous success. We look forward to adding our Membership Access Scanning system to their technology portfolio, which will allow them to more efficiently streamline their entry processes, track attendance and create tailored member programs.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2011) – Paciolan, a leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions to live entertainment organizations, today launched its new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution specifically designed to meet the needs of college athletics, professional sports and performing arts organizations. Paciolan CRM provides a 360 degree view of customers’ ticketing, donation and purchase history to enhance each interaction and help maximize an organization’s revenue potential.

“We’re pleased to be launching Paciolan CRM, which will allow us to meet the demands of both college athletics and professional sports organizations that want to offer outbound sales initiatives, and that of performing arts organizations that wish to enhance their patrons’ experience,” said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. “With this new CRM solution, organizations will be able to better manage their customer communications, while delivering world class customer service.”

Paciolan CRM enables an organization to deliver personalized services and effectively elicit a call to action to buy, donate, renew and participate in its programs. It also helps organizations efficiently manage and grow their sales and prospecting efforts through up-selling and retention campaigns, which increases revenues.

“As a new ticket sales department, Paciolan CRM has boosted our productivity,” said Kurt Hasenbaig, assistant director of athletics, ticket sales & service, for Northwestern University Athletics. “Our sales reps are able to record all call and contact information, while as a manager, I am able to track overall activity and progress toward department goals.”

Additionally, Paciolan CRM features a centralized hub of customer information to help an organization better understand its customers and donors.

“Paciolan CRM has made it easier for our ticket sales department not only to manage, organize and track sales, but also client information as well,” said Tommy Heppler, sales representative for Texas Tech University. “We’re able to access so much information at the click of a button in just one program. It makes work so much easier.”

Paciolan CRM’s intuitive interface makes the solution easy to learn requiring minimal training. It also seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Outlook for simple customer communication and tracking.

“Paciolan has done a wonderful job of responding to the needs of our users,” said Paul Beard, vice president and chief operating officer for The Smith Center. “We love the intuitive interface that Paciolan CRM offers, as well as its integration with Outlook and ability to track contacts. Since going on sale with our Broadway Las Vegas series, we’re especially excited to see our patron’s ticketing activity in CRM as well.”
