FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
IRVINE, Calif. and MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (Oct. 6, 2011) – Central Michigan University (CMU) and Paciolan, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions in college athletics, are joining forces to create “Ticket Central,” a centralized campus box office for purchasing tickets to all University events on campus. The University will implement Paciolan’s social media, fundraising and ticketing solutions, including Access Management scanning and print-at-home delivery. The venture provides one-stop shopping for Chippewa sports fans and customers attending campus events.
“We’re happy to be working with a company like Paciolan that has a proven track record for successfully helping college athletics organizations achieve their goals,” said Dave Heeke, CMU’s Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics. “Paciolan supports our business model, and offers more innovative tools and industry best practices designed to help us better serve the needs of our loyal customers, students, fans and donors, while providing a great opportunity to strategically develop new fans of Chippewa Athletics.”
Paciolan’s digital ticketing and Access Management scanning solutions will enable customers to purchase tickets online, print them at home and avoid long will call lines. They’ll also be able to transfer unused tickets to family and friends electronically. Access Management scanning will allow CMU to target specific consumer groups based on their attendance at various campus events, and tailor marketing messages and offers to them.
“We are excited about this opportunity to serve the entire CMU community through this innovative ticketing solution,” said Bob Ebner, CMU Director for University Events, which will manage the daily operations of Ticket Central. “This partnership allows us to enhance every interaction with Chippewa fans and donors by providing more services under a single entity.”
The University also will leverage Paciolan’s advanced marketing services, including its retargeting online marketing campaigns and Pac Social Media tools to engage customers, sell tickets, promote events and communicate special offers.
“We welcome Central Michigan University to our family of more than 100 colleges and universities,” said Dave Butler, Chief Executive Officer of Paciolan. “We look forward to helping them take their campus initiatives to the next level and achieve their goals by leveraging our proven ticketing, marketing and fundraising solutions.”
